Through this website, Brisbane Gnosis, which is affiliated with The New Gnostic Society Samael Aun Weor, we are covering merely what we consider to be basic and necessary for an introductory study of the divine Gnosis. We are doing it in a framework of natural landscapes with the purpose of guiding the investigator concerning their greatest internal needs. In this way we avoid the intellectual distraction such as occurs when we relate Gnosticism to the diverse cultures where it has flourished. We are doing so because the times we live in—committed as we are with so many external things—require it. Therefore, we feel we are honoring a popular Spanish saying that reads, “Actions speak louder than words!” Because it is a great truth that, “Gnosis lives in deeds, withers away in abstractions, and is difficult to find even in the noblest of thoughts.”

Gnosis is the divine wisdom that resides within us and is expressed in art, science, philosophy and religion. Therefore, we study a wide variety of practical topics which include meditation, esoteric psychology, anthropology, Kabbalah, alchemy and many more spiritual subjects. Thus, a path is discovered that leads to the Self-Realisation.
About Gnosis
The word Gnosis derives from the greek language and means “knowledge of an intuitive nature; the intuitive apprehension of spiritual truths.” Hence, Gnosis is a knowledge that cannot be arrived at through books or lectures. Rather, it is captured through one’s own direct experience. Therefore, this knowledge or wisdom is not found outside of us, but within ourselves.
Gnosis synthesizes the most essential aspects of all of the ancient mystery schools, religions, and esoteric systems of the past and present into one. In fact, true Gnosis is the root wisdom from which all authentic spiritual traditions emerge. Moreover, Gnosis tears the veil of illusion, which is the veil of separation and division. It clearly demonstrates the golden thread that unites all human beings, which is Truth, Love and Wisdom: the Divine spark within us.
Esoteric Studies & Meditation
Gnosis is a transcendental wisdom that explores a variety of topics. These are based on psychology, mysticism and esotericism, presented through classes and meditation.
Firstly, our classes explore a variety of topics specifically developed to know ourselves more intimately and profoundly.
Likewise, we introduce meditation techniques in a gentle and a gradual way according to a natural rhythm, without causing any tension to the mind and body. This gives way to experience the benefits and insights that meditation can provide. Therefore, by establishing the correct foundations, we are able to gradually and naturally increase the duration of the practices.
Ultimately, Gnosis is a practical and transcendental wisdom which anyone of good will and good heart can experience and benefit from in order to live a more peaceful, serene life and to know oneself truly as a soul, as a divine spark.
